Neverness to Everness Beginner's Guide — Tips, Progression & Everything You Need

Complete starter guide for NTE: progression path, reroll advice, free characters, Day 1 checklist, daily/weekly loops and the most common new-player mistakes.

What is Neverness to Everness?

Neverness to Everness (NTE) is a supernatural urban open-world RPG developed by Hotta Studio and published worldwide by Perfect World on April 26, 2026. The game blends real-time action combat, gacha character collection and an interconnected city-life simulation set in the fictional metropolis of Hethereau. You play as the city's first "unlicensed" Anomaly Hunter working out of the Eibon antique shop, taking contracts that pull you into supernatural events across multiple districts.

Day 1 Checklist

  1. Complete the prologue (~45 minutes) to unlock Eibon and the gacha system.
  2. Redeem all active codes for free Annulith and Eibon Tickets.
  3. Claim the launch login rewards (free SSR Skia selector after 7 days of login).
  4. Pull the free 10-pull on the Beginner Banner.
  5. Decide whether to reroll based on your starter pulls.
  6. Set characters to auto-farm Fons during AFK windows.

Reroll Yes or No?

NTE's reroll path takes 20–30 minutes per attempt. Reroll only if you have a target — most players are happy with any of Mint, Chiz, Hathor or Aurelia. See the full reroll guide for stop conditions.

Core Systems Overview

  • Gacha — Limited and Standard banners, 80-pull soft pity, 90-pull hard pity. Full breakdown.
  • Arcs — weapons. Each character has a signature 5★ Arc with the best stat synergy.
  • Console & Modules — equipment and substat artifacts. Wait until level 35 to invest seriously.
  • Anomalies — open-world contract events. Primary source of progression XP.
  • City Tycoon / Fishing / Witch's House — daily side activities for currency and stamina.

Progression Path

  1. Lv 1–20: Push main story. Don't level alts.
  2. Lv 20–35: Unlock weekly bosses, daily commissions, the City Tycoon mini-game.
  3. Lv 35+: Begin module farming and weekly boss runs. Now invest in your endgame team.

Best Characters for Beginners

Build around what you have, but if you got to choose: Mint + Aurelia + Skia + Hathor is the best F2P-accessible team at launch.

Daily & Weekly Checklist

  • Daily commissions (4× quick missions)
  • Stamina spend on Echo dungeons
  • Witch's House fortune draw
  • Owner's Selection café mini-game
  • Weekly: 3× weekly boss runs (capped rewards)

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • ❌ Leveling too many characters before 35 — you'll waste Fons.
  • ❌ Spending Eibon Tickets on Standard Banner before you've decided your main DPS.
  • ❌ Skipping daily Fons drops; they compound fast.
  • ❌ Building random Modules before level 35 — the substat curve is harsh.
