Esper Zero (just 'Zero' in some menus) is the protagonist and the free Main DPS every account receives. Their Adaptive Blade morphs to match the equipped Arc's element — you pick the element via Arc selection at character menu. Strong baseline performer that scales with whatever element team you're investing in.
How to get: Free — unlocked during the prologue (~25 minutes into the story).
